Every architectural marvel has a story, and 3 ആന is no exception. Its name comes from a simple yet beautiful design change - what started as square windows slowly transformed into soft, arched forms, resembling the shape of an ആന (elephant). This small but meaningful detail gave the home a unique character - strong, graceful, and memorable.

The story begins in Tirur, Kerala, in an old family home filled with memories. As they walked through its rooms for the first time, they could feel the warmth of its past—gatherings, laughter, and love that had lived within its walls for generations. It was more than just a house; it was an emotional anchor, an inheritance of stories.

The family dreamed of giving it a new life - modern and comfortable, yet respectful of its roots. But one question stayed with them: would the elders accept such a big change? When they met the client’s father, they wondered how he would respond to a home that looked so different from the one he had known for years.

To their relief, he welcomed the idea with surprising openness. He saw the renovation not as a loss of the past, but as a way of carrying it forward. His blessing became the emotional foundation of the project.

Then came the younger generation - the client’s son and daughter. They were filled with memories of their childhood in this home, and dreams of what it could become. They wanted to blend tradition with today’s needs - to create a home that felt familiar yet fresh. Their clear vision and trust gave them the freedom to explore and create.

At the center of 3 ആന lies a beautiful courtyard. It divides private and public spaces while bringing in natural light, air, and a sense of calm. It’s not just a design feature - it’s the heart of the home, connecting all parts together while keeping the soul of the house alive.

What sets 3 ആന apart is not only its thoughtful structure, but also its celebration of color. Radiant reds, sunlit yellows, and verdant greens play across its walls, weaving a vibrant, joyful atmosphere. These hues aren’t just decorative; they bring life and emotion to every corner, transforming the house into a sensory experience.

The material palette furthers this narrative. Earth-toned stone paving in the wash area reconnects the vibrant interior to the grounding calm of nature. This contrast - between bold expression and organic simplicity - creates a harmonious rhythm, a symphony of elements where architecture and life coexist beautifully..

This mix - of tradition and modernity, boldness and calm, color and form - makes 3 ആന truly special. It’s not just a renovation; it’s a respectful reinvention. A place where old memories live alongside new beginnings.

What once stood as an old family home has now become a modern retreat. But its essence remains untouched. With every corner designed thoughtfully, 3 ആന is now ready to welcome many more years of love, life, and stories.
