“Designing home is not just about applying interior design principles or coordinating colour palettes… It’s so much more. It’s about creating a space that not only reflects the identity of the homeowners, but also ensures functionality and sustainability,” say the Architects at Studio Synergy, and that is exactly the mantra they followed while designing this spacious Ankleshwar bungalow.

The living room is an amalgamation of warm woody tones and cool greys that complement and offset each other, leaving an inviting and cozy space to entertain or simply relax and wind down. The delicately designed centre table and the plush leather sofas create a balance of symmetry. A sliding door that seamlessly transitions into the kitchen adds an extra touch of grandeur with its intricate grill details. The TV is mounted onto an Italian Marble slab with a sleek, minimal console are literal translation of the word – luxury.

The open space layout of the kitchen offers a spacious set-up for all family dinners. With a big counter-top, ample space to move about, and modular storage solutions, the kitchen is definitely a dream for every cooking-enthusiast. Having the dining table in the kitchen offers the family a chance to bond over cooking and dinners, allowing them more time to spend together, while also simplifying the logistics of bringing food to the table.

The guest bedroom carries forward the colour scheme of the ground floor of the house. This room embodies a two-tone design, having two different materials on the same flat surface, which in turn adds depth to the design. A warm toned grey and gold veneer panelled wall exceeds a simple plain white tiled pseudo bed-headboard, and in complete contrast to this, the closet and the cubby-hole panel on the wall have a wooden veneer in the bottom and bright white on the top.

This bedroom on the first floor is designed to accommodate the growing years of the son. With a classic combination of blues and greys, the room is left looking airy and spacious, and, has room (pun intended) to add elements as the boy grows up. The attention to detail is very evident in the design scheme of this room with thought being given to even the smallest element – like the drawer of the side-table having wood panelled design that creates a synergy with the panelling on the wall and the headboard of the bed. The open shelving of the study area, and a minimalist console table below the TV helps afford more space to the set-up of the room.

With a colour palette of greens, greys and browns, this daughter’s room gives a calm and peaceful vibe. The small coffee-table that acts as a bedside table is a perfect accessory that adds functionality to its role. The split headboard on the Queen-sized bed makes it look quirky and chic. The plush tan rocking chair near the huge windows is the perfect place to sit with a warm cup of coffee and a good book. The room is designed around the concept of minimal sophistication and the pendant light, the sleek closet and attached dresser are all testaments to the same concept.

A dedicated lounge area, with an oversized chair and beautiful coffee table, is this master bedroom’s most unique feature. The neutral tones of beiges, browns and greys makes the room feel idyllic. While there are no obvious partitions between the bedroom and lounge area, the transition from thinly panelled walls to broader panelling on the walls clearly differentiates the two areas seamlessly. Recessed lighting on the false ceiling, cove lighting in the recessed box of the wall behind the bed and the lounge area, and a beautiful lamp are all placed in a way that it creates a soft ambience in the room.

Family Seating of Kripa Kunj by Studio Synergy

The textured-panelled wall with two asymmetrically wide marble belts creates a focal point for this family seating area. With sectional sofa that provides ample space to sit or lounge around, this room is the perfect spot to chill with an interesting board game on family nights. The two rich green upholstered ottomans add a splash of colour to the neutral colour palette.

“We have tried to give a lot of attention to detail. Every shape of furniture, every lighting fixture we have chosen, every colour that was picked – it all has been thought out thoroughly. The entire design has been conjured in a way that supports both aesthetics and functionality,” concludes the Architects of Studio Synergy.
