The house to Mehta's family is an edifice attempted to create spaces never experienced by the residents before; enhance their lives, create everlasting memories and spaces that build aspirations for the future. Settled in an urban locality of Gandhidham Gujarat. The architectural approach of the house attempts to redefine urban living with spaces that subtly drift away from the connection with the surroundings. It’s a decently compact plot of 2,200sq ft surrounded the buildings on three sides and a road in front. An elegant entranceway was done as one’s stepping upon carved flooring, wood cladding panels which lead to the Living room having warmth within.

The immensity of the space gracefully embraces an observer across various precincts in the house. The interior spaces attract a continuous flow of winds and abundant light through the large windows.

With a vibrant colour scheme and decor, a balance is achieved between decorative elements and clean modern design. The luxurious residence uses a variety of materials that gives it a unique appeal. The house

is designed in a subdued palette which creates a calming ambience within

and also makes the stark colours stand out.

The living room, dining and kitchen spaces, all are connected subtly, and yet maintain their privacy by separating themselves with the help of a glass partition.

The kitchen is at the core of the house equipped with modern appliances nicely blended with the dining area. The dining area is embellished with an elegant grey composite stone table that functions as a non-maintenance furniture piece as well as imparts a touch of elegance to the space.

Next comes the master bedroom which is wrapped with a subtle colour palette of fabrics allowing an abundance of natural light through wide openings. It also consists of a private study, walk-in wardrobe &

bathroom.

Climbing up through stairs makes one reach a massage area having parent’s bedroom and daughter’s room beside. The parent's room was designed in such a manner that it speaks of gratitude material palate was kept quite dank as leather tapestry signifies as a gentleman’s room.

The daughter’s room is such a fairyland accommodated with multi-activity the station which was further connected to an open Sit-Out where she would have lots of fun playing around with her friends.

Talking about the second floor was planned as an entertaining space with an open-air theatre and a multi-purpose room. Amazing space utilization was done by creating an outdoor media, sheltered with

pergolas and a bit of green surroundings creating a cosy space. The outdoor furniture is all done of aluminium. The entire house embraces technology, and to further enhance the environmental performance, all active systems run on automation, efficiently optimising the use of lighting and appliances.
