A dwelling places contemporary, traditional, color-drenching palette design to invoke a young family at Kovoor, Calicut. This design brings together mid-century modern, vintage Indian styles with seamless textures, aiming to create a home that balances functionality and unique identities for the users.

The design process focused on cleverly understanding functional needs intertwined with elemental hints of the users' personalities. The interiors are conceptualized and visualized with geometric forms and functions that complement each other. The placement of openings merges with the exterior, connecting the landscape, creating continuity and rhythm throughout. Adaptability of light and color plays an integral role in enhancing the aura of the residence.

The adhesive and intimate spaces of the 3110 sq. ft. residence feature Jaisalmer marble and kota stone, carpeted with detailed elements of highlighters placed at certain intervals. As one moves through varying zones of the home, the walls are enhanced by wooden décor and furniture has been costumed with painting which blend with the flooring, adding visual interest to the spaces.

The northern facade apertures invite diffused light into the living interiors, hosted with traditional wooden upholsteries against beigish walls. The ceiling decor features square details that emit warm luminance. A short passage linearly connects the bedroom spaces as its wings, designed with a sense of repose and comfort reflecting the users' behavior and age group. The closets are embedded with elements of tropical art patterns in the wooden texture, contributing to the overall design narrative seamlessly.

The kitchen has been embellished with custom-fabricated iron plates, coated with a greenish tint serving as partitions accentuated by small tabletops. On the other side, the set of stairs with metallic handrails and a compact partition of storage carries to the next level, welcoming with an overlooking greenish lush indoor landscaped study area that showcases an industrial interior look. Coming to the private segment, the master bedroom features heirloom furniture with an authentic Kerala traditional fusion outlook. The core essence of the project lies in the ingenuity of the materials used and the minimalist and stylish design approach.
