Nestled in the cultural city of Mysore, Karnataka, Sendhil Residence stands as a testament to the artful utilization of space in a small studio residence. This thoughtfully designed abode seamlessly accommodates a single bedroom alongside dedicated areas for office, dining, pantry, and living spaces. Client, Mr. Sendhil Narayan, wanted a minimalistic rustic cottage adjacent to self-owned school, ICTLCS. The studio residence was built adjacent to their permanent residence and the school building as a personal office space.

The studio is a stand-alone structure with a totally different architecture style when compared to the existing residence and surroundings which was a requirement by the client. The outdoor spaces of the studio are connected to the school ground for ease in accessibility and continuity with the site.

The total site area is about 80 cents and the built area of the studio is around 1500 sqft. The site is situated in a residential area away from the main road with an accessibility provided from Sendhil residence. Sendhil Studio's architecture is a harmonious blend of raw industrial elements and sophisticated finishes.

The exterior boasts a robust industrial aesthetic with concrete textures, while the interior exudes elegance through durable terrazzo flooring. Distinctive fluted slabs add texture to the walls, and linear corten steel-framed windows bring in both light and a modern geometric touch. The interiors achieve a warm yet modern ambiance with a combination of wood and white textures. This thoughtful mix creates a cohesive and inviting environment that seamlessly mergesform and function.
