Designed in a tight urban setting for a family of four, SRISHTI, is a response to the urban dweller's need to include/not include the surroundings in their lives. To see but not be seen. To be sheltered but not boxed in. 

A ground + 3 floors, vaastu complaint home, (saying the balconies run end to end on every floor, the house, a perfect rectangle), the challenge was to make it feel lighter on the ground level and reduce the number of floors visually. By boxing the alternate balconies, the building appears to be one storey lesser. The screened balconies lets the light and air in and maintains the much needed privacy.
