The client desired to build a 2-bedroom residence on this sloping property, supplemented by a versatile office/study/bedroom space, a spacious living and dining area, a well-appointed kitchen and work area, a utility space, and a balcony. It is crucial that these additions do not disrupt the integrity of the current retaining walls and levels on the site.

Slopping site and design around existing retaining wall. Embrace the contour of site, Integrate with Nature. Design with minimal land cut and fill, prioritizing the natural contours. Utilize the natural slope to create tiered levels that follow the contours of the land. Split-level design to minimize excavation and filling. Optimized the slope's orientation to maximize natural light, cross-ventilation, and scenic views. Provided large windows on north side. Blurred the lines between interior and exterior with large windows, balconies, Used eco-friendly materials and passive design strategies to minimize energy consumption.

They organized the spaces over multiple levels, with the main living area on lower level for optimal views, privacy and accessibility Organized the living/dining on lower-level for optimal views and accessibility.

Located bedrooms and bathrooms on quieter upper levels, with a balcony facing north open valley ensuring privacy and noise reduction. They designed a living space with an open view of the valley between the bedrooms and utility space near bed rooms with an access to open terrace,

Study/reading/bed area organised on mid-level area which is accessible from bedroom zone and lower living zone and provided a library deck as mezzanine area, along the study area roof slope.

RCC framed structure used. Implemented proper drainage systems to prevent water runoff and erosion. They used Perorated exposed brick, wood, stone, and other natural materials to blend the building with the environment. They used Large windows to maximize natural light and views with strategically placed windows

Extend the living space outdoors with balconies and terraces that offer panoramic views and connection to nature. By embracing the challenges of a sloping site, they created a unique and sustainable home that is well-integrated with the natural environment.
