The Rajasthan Jewellers showroom on Sindhu Bhavan Road in Ahmedabad is a testament to the brand's elegant and timeless creations. The design, conceptualised as "Jewels on Earth," creates an envelope that harmoniously integrates a rich material palette and orchestrated lighting to showcase the intricate craftsmanship of each piece from their collection. The spatial experience embodies this identity through the use of materials such as semi-precious stones, including malachite, red jasper, and lapis lazuli, combined with Valsad teak wood and various brass finishes, which add an arty touch and earthy warmth.

The showroom is organised linearly into four clusters: a changeable display area at the entrance, followed by the silver collection, the gold collection, and cabin areas at the rear. Spaced throughout the showroom are lounge areas designed to provide customers with leisurely exploration. Partition spaces of varying heights, dividing them with strategically placed openings that maintain a seamless flow and create visual intrigue. Protruding low-height ledges act as counters for individual customer interaction, side tables in the lounge areas, and connections between display counters and the walls. All furniture elements are custom-fabricated to respond to the showroom’s evolving needs. The language is derived from a choreographed customer flow, resulting in soft angles at the ends of counters.

Entrance announced by brass accents of Rajasthan Jewellers by Place Design Studio

The entrance features a preview of the design narrative with ledges overlaid with semi-precious stones and brass wall units. The walls serve as canvases for displays, with one side featuring conventional displays and the opposite side curated as an art wall. Brass wall display units with soft, rounded edges, adorned with semi-precious stones - red jasper, malachite, and lapis lazuli, in the background, create a vivid contrast that enhances the visual appeal of the collection. Semi-precious stones reminiscent of jewellery materials are used sparingly but effectively. Brushed brass is used extensively for framed display and as pedestal bases. Beaten brass is used to envelope the cash counter. The earthy tone of Valsad teak wood, used for countertops and shelves, acts as a grounding element. The beige terrazzo floor, embedded with brass inlay, relates to the furniture and ties together the flow of the space. The upholstery of chairs and sofas is a muted grey that blends into the design.

A critical element of the immersive experience is the lighting design. The false ceiling, with its concave craters and pearl-like inserts, evokes floating gems, transforming the space into a gallery. The light pockets are thoughtfully placed to highlight key visual nodes. A cluster of pearls suspended above the circular counter serves as a focal point, while pin lights around the ceiling structure create varied light intensities throughout the space. Focus lighting is cleverly concealed within furniture and brass frames, obscuring the source and illuminating the collection.
