The brief was to design a sustainable and lively co-working space that captures the surrounding views and responds sensitively to the site conditions. The plot is a north-east corner site, with the eastern edge being longer and facing a 60-feet-wide road, making the façade highly visible from both directions. The north-western corner of the site is anchored by a large existing tree that provides natural shade. To the west lies a park, where additional trees were introduced prior to construction to enhance oxygen levels and create a picturesque working environment.

The building is organized into three floors.
The ground floor and first floor house the co-working spaces.

The second floor is dedicated to a gym.

A staircase is located at the north-western corner, and the soffit space beneath it is efficiently utilized as a small cafeteria, activating an otherwise unused area.

Zoning is planned to ensure clarity of movement and privacy. A reception area faces the north, providing a welcoming interface, while a private/service access is oriented towards the east. The toilet core is placed in the south-eastern zone to consolidate services efficiently. A north–south circulation spine divides the floor plate into two distinct working zones.

The western zone, overlooking the tree and park, accommodates single, three-seater, and convertible six-seater workstations, allowing flexibility while benefiting from shaded views and natural ventilation.

The eastern zone contains the reception and private office cubicles, responding to the road-facing façade and controlled access requirements.

The first floor is conceived as a more exclusive zone, housing conference rooms, congregation spaces, and smaller work areas. The interior is designed without central columns, allowing uninterrupted spatial continuity and adaptability of work zones based on changing needs.

Sustainability is addressed through material choices and passive design strategies. The external walls are constructed using porous bricks, while the inner walls employ fly ash bricks with plastered finishes, significantly reducing heat gain and dependence on mechanical air conditioning. The staircore is expressed as a vertical element with exposed brick masonry, and its landing areas incorporate brick jaalis to filter heat, dust, and light while maintaining ventilation.

The first-floor ceiling is designed using brick filler slabs in a continuous jack-arch system, left exposed to enhance thermal performance and spatial continuity.

Lighting is carefully designed to maintain a 5000K color temperature during daytime, ensuring visual comfort and productivity. Direct skylights are avoided to prevent glare and excessive heat gain, relying instead on controlled natural light and filtered openings.
